Hope for more interactive features
This is just an idea, but I think it would be way nice to have in GW....
More customization options for your characters, like being able to "dye" your hair (put streaks, two tone ect), options to create or put together your own tats, choose or make your own amor (styles, details, more dying options w/the choice of say...to dye the whole chest piece one color OR dye the details of the clothes differ colors), maybe an option for voice chat...in game w/out TS or Vent (only for PMs though)(or type what ya wanna say and the character voices it in Private messages)....i dont know, GWs already ROCKS, but I know that I would LOVE (as well as quite a few others that i've talked w/about this topic) to have more options for in game interactions (going into houses or building, or EVEN buying your own place, or designing your own house, anything really), I think it'd enhance the GW world for all players, from almost every possible aspect, even if only a few more things were interactive ,it'd be kicking it even harder. Plus, having more interactive options would just "span" the game farther, I know a lot of guildies that have done a whole lot on all campaigns and GWEN (like beaten them), and yea they still love the game but are really lookin forward to GWs2, due to runnin outta stuff to do. Enhancing GWs w/more options will take the player even more in depth into the game and open a path for the "veteran players" (as well as the newer players)of GWs to continue to have a fun greatly enjoyable GWs life.
I love this game already, it'd just be even that much better!
ALSO, PLEASE keep it as free online play after buying the games, some gamers are worrying that it might go to monthly fees....I love this game but I wouldnt be able to pay monthly for it. Life is a taxing struggle and I love the fact that I can come home hop on GW and have a fun stress-relieving time with my guild mates and others, while not having to worry about paying (i dont have a cred or deb card, as I prefer not to), or even if I did have to pay, forgetting about the fee and gettin online to play only to have my account suspended...yea, that would be another straw on the camels back.....
(j/k bout the straw part) anyways,
Thank you for reading
Happy Gaming from a Happy Gamer,
Missy

Or you can stop playing GW and go back to dressing up your Barbie Dolls?

I have to agree with RhanoctJocosa.
This sort of stuff just isnt all that important. I would much rather time was spent on the gameplay than just adding bits of shiny.

Well as a 41 year old man, i'm pretty sure I don't want to spend time dressing up barbie dolls, but I would love to see more customization for my toons.
Call it vanity but i'd like more uniqueness to my characters. The first time you see your doppleganger it's like "omg, look we're long lost brothers!". After the millionth time though you just wish you stood apart more.
so...
/signed (but NOT at the expense of gameplay.)

Don't rule out the female (sterotypical-trying not to pigeon hole anyone here, considering my last post) market here, while It may add nothing to the actual gameplay, I know more than one person who would think that certain parts of this would be an awesome idea.
firstly the general hair thing.
this would sink very well the core demographic as a whole, just look at WoW, the next expansion for that is partly marketed on the fact that you can change you hairstyle. At blizzcon, he opened with "epic barber shops" for a reason.
So i think its unfair to rule out advanced hair modification just yet.
the same goes for advanced armour modification.
The reason why these things should be implemented?
because differentiation and modification are really popular.
I don't believe that people would be as happy playing guild wars, if we all looked like male warriors wearing ring mail, and instead of names had barcodes instead.
In MMOs modification is needed, otherwise, quite simply, everyone looks like everyone else.
next, as far in-game voice channels, personally i think its fixing a problem that isn't really one, Vent/ts is fine for me, and it would be extra expense on anet.
finally, on inside locations.
the proper insides of houses would be difficult to do, since if you think that the average person is about 2 metres high and the ceiling in modern rooms is about a half metre on top of that at most. so in the end the camera would end up cramped and the experience would be rather claustrophobic.
the closest there is now is the eye of the north at the moment.
So some good ideas, i would put my weight behind more customisation, for what its worth.

*looks at profession* I wonder why you keep seeing characters that look the same...
Frankly, I have yet to find a single mesmer, assassin, elementalist (interestingly enough) or ritualist who looks anything like mine.

Jada is 1 of 8 characters I play, all with different primaries. If you haven't seen at least one doppleganger yet, you haven't been looking.
Besides, if it wasn't for the warriors of GW, who else would you have to poke fun at

As far as I have read, with what little is out right now for GW2, there will be no monthly fee's added for GW or GW2. So you shouldn't have to worry about that.
I agree with adding more customization, so I second this post.
